Have you ever tried sleeping with a VR headset on?
This practice, commonly known as VR Sleep (or “V-Sleep”), has been gaining traction among VR enthusiasts. However, when you attempt V-Sleep, you might find that…

your avatar appears to be crouching in the default state.
Wouldn’t it be more immersive if your avatar could also adopt a natural sleeping posture? That’s where the Gorone System(Lie-Down System) comes into play! In this article, we’ll walk you through how to install and use the Gorone System to enhance your VR sleep experience.

What Can the Gorone System Do?

Here’s what you can do with the Gorone System:

Lie Down

Your avatar can take a lying-down posture like this.

Sit Down

Not only lying down, but your avatar can also take a sitting posture!

How to Install the Gorone System

The installation process is basically the same as other tools.
The Gorone System uses a UnityPackage to install the tool.
For detailed instructions, please check out this article if you haven’t read it yet!

First, go to the official page.

Click “Download.”

Extract the downloaded folder. (Make sure Unity is already open at this stage!)

Double-click the UnityPackage file after extraction.

A window will pop up, so click “Import” to install it.

If you see “MinMinMart” displayed at the top of the screen, the installation was successful!

How to Apply the Gorone System to Your Avatar

Here’s how to set up the Gorone System for your avatar:

Click on “MinMinMart,” then click on “Supine Combiner” that appears below it.

A screen like this will appear.

Drag and drop the avatar you want to apply the Gorone System to (in this case, Shifon-chan) into the field labeled “Avatar”.

Click “Check”.

If it says “Check Successful,” click “OK,” then press the newly enabled “Combine” button.

If it says “Integration Successful,” you’re done!

How to Use the Gorone System

The Gorone System is operated through the Expression Menu! Here’s how to activate basic postures like lying down or sitting:

The lying-down and sitting postures are located under “Poses”.

This screen will primarily be used for operation.

Let’s break down some commonly used functions one by one:

  • Supine: Lying on your back posture
  • Right Side: Lying on your right side posture
  • Left Side: Lying on your left side posture
  • Sit 1: Sitting posture 1 (default is cross-legged sitting)
  • Sit 2: Sitting posture 2 (default is kneeling sitting (female))
  • Foot Anchor: Locks your body in place to prevent movement

When using the Gorone System, make sure to adjust your height (to about sitting-level height) for it to work properly! Be careful about this!

Other Recommended Tools Besides the Gorone System

① Sleep System

Unlike the Gorone System, this tool allows you to adopt sleeping or sitting postures anytime and anywhere just by setting them in the Ex menu! (Paid tool)

Additionally, this Sleep System can be used in combination with the Gorone System!

IsoIso

This is a tool I personally highly recommend! It’s incredibly convenient to be able to sit or lie down anytime, anywhere. Additionally, it allows you to take sitting poses that are only possible with full-body tracking, making it surprisingly useful for taking photos!

② Gorone Gimmick

③ Cute Pose Tool

This tool isn’t specifically for sleeping but allows you to take various poses even without full-body tracking.

It enables full-body tracking-like movements even with just three points!
